Oregon PSR has reserved ten spaces for the July 11th, 2017 public tour of the B Reactor at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation in Richland, Washington. The B Reactor is where plutonium was developed for the atomic bomb dropped on the Japanese city of Nagasaki on August 9th, 1945, killing tens of thousands of people and, along with the bombing of Hiroshima, ushering in the nuclear weapons era.

The B Reactor tour is free and open to the public. We will help coordinate carpooling, but you will be responsible for your own travel expenses. Please RSVP to let us know if you would like to join the Oregon PSR contingent and we will follow up with additional details.
