Action Night: Clean Energy Over Waste Incinerators!

Join us for a joint event with the Oregon Chapter of the Sierra Club for an action night event to put a stop to this bill!

We still need your help to stop the Oregon bill that would award renewable energy credits to municipal waste incineration. If Senate Bill 451 passes, the Covanta Marion incinerator, located halfway between Salem and Woodburn, will be given clean energy rewards for burning plastics, medical waste, and other kinds of garbage.

Potluck style! Please bring a dish if you are able! We'll have some pizza and drinks.

RSVP is required: Please email [email protected]

Invite your friends on Facebook!

TAKE ACTION NOW, BEFORE THE EVENT

Senate Majority Leader Burdick, as chair of the Senate Rules Committee, has the authority to stop SB 451 by not giving it a work session in the committee. Call her office today at 503-986-1700 and ask her to stop SB 451 and protect public health from this proposal, which would set a dangerous precedent for defining trash incineration as renewable energy.

Call Senate Majority Leader Burdick today at 503-986-1700 and tell her to stop SB 451.

After you've made your call, please email us and let us know how it went. Thank you for taking action!
