For generations, the people of Oregon have stood up for peace, justice, and a healthy future. Today, that tradition calls on us again.
Congress is considering two powerful measures — Senate Resolution 323 and House Resolution 317 — that would push the United States to take the lead in ending the global nuclear arms race. These resolutions demand a no-first-use policy, the removal of nuclear weapons from “hair-trigger” alert, protection for communities harmed by nuclear weapons, and a renewed commitment to diplomacy over destruction.
Oregon Sen. Jeff Merkley and Rep. Suzanne Bonamici are already on board. We need every Oregon lawmaker to join him. Now we need every Oregon voice — and every Oregon representative — to join him.
