Inside Gaza: An Evening with Dr. Clyde Farris

Gaza_first_responders_billboard.jpg

Please join us for a firsthand account of the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip. Dr. Clyde Farris, an orthopedic surgeon from West Linn, recently returned from a trip to Gaza where he worked with a team of Palestinian orthopedic specialists. Dr. Farris will describe the type of injuries he saw as a member of a delegation from our colleagues at Washington PSR. Learn about the conditions inside what has been called “the largest open-air prison on Earth.”

Admission is free but donations are encouraged for the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund.

This event is organized by the Portland Chapter of Jewish Voice for Peace. It is co-sponsored by Americans United for Palestinian Human Rights, Central Pacific Conference, Palestine/Israel Network, United Church of Christ, Democratic Socialists of America (Portland Chapter), Episcopal Diocese of Oregon Task Force for Palestinian Human Rights, Friends of Sabeel (North America), Jewish Voice for Peace (Portland State University Chapter), KBOO Community Radio, Lutherans for Justice in the Holy Land, Portland Committee for Human Rights in the Philippines, and Tree of Life Educational Fund.
