Join the Stop Zenith Parade at The Big Float

On Saturday, July 13th, the Human Access Project is holding The Big Float, a festival and day-long celebration of the Willamette River. Oregon PSR’s community partners at Center for Sustainable Economy have been offered 50 free tickets to join the float and share about our campaigns to stop the oil trains at Zenith and Global Partners. It will be a day of celebration of our activism, the river, and our communities.

The plan will be to hold a table, flyer about Zenith and Global Partners, walk in the parade at noon, float once as a group, and lounge on the beach for the rest of the day. Center for Sustainable Economy will bring kayaks, floaties, banners, and life jackets (or get a $10 rental) for the flotilla.

RSVP for more information and to reserve your spot.

This is an exciting opportunity to get the word out about important comment periods and to share our love for the Willamette River and all that is threatened by Zenith Energy. Volunteers are needed to help with flyering and petitions, photography and outreach, art-making, set-up, and take-down.

Sign up here to volunteer at the float, and Center for Sustainable Economy will follow up with more information and an access code to get your ticket.
