Join us for our July Peace and Justice Action Team Meeting!
We will be joined by Dr. Joshua Baker who will be delivering a presentation followed by a Q&A on nuclear deterrence.
Dr. Baker is a political researcher and nuclear abolitionist whose work examines how financial interests and social connections shape security and environmental policy. He has presented on missile defense, deterrence, threat inflation, and nuclear policy at multiple security and international relations conferences and is an active contributor to several nuclear abolition organizations. His current research investigates the political‑economic drivers of the Golden Dome and its historic context; and exploring the pressure networks influencing nuclear energy policy. He holds a PhD and MS in Political Science from the University of Oregon, an MA in International Relations from Uniwersytet Civitas in Warsaw, and an MA in History from West  Virginia  University.Â
