Our Heartfelt Thanks to Maria Landin!

Maria_on_swing.jpgJuly 24th was Maria Landin's last day on staff for Oregon PSR. Maria served for the past 11 months as our Program Associate and Quaker Voluntary Service fellow, and in that short time she accomplished so much and became an integral part of our work for a more healthy, just, and peaceful world. We will miss Maria’s intelligence, passion, and dedication to our work here in Oregon, but we are excited to stay in touch and follow her progress as she engages in graduate studies at the Earlham School of Religion.

Maria's many accomplishments include taking the lead role in organizing our 2020 Greenfield Peace Writing Scholarship, working on immigrant rights as our representative on the One Oregon coalition, adding much-needed staff capacity to our Peace Program and Healthy Climate Program work, and working under difficult and unpredictable circumstances over the last year to further our justice-centered approach to some of the most pressing issues of our time.

Read about Maria’s call to activism, and please join us as we offer our sincere thanks to Maria for her amazing year of service!
