Climate Justice Resource Plan comment period is open

The Climate Justice Plan (CJP) comment period is open! This is your opportunity to provide feedback on the draft CJP to ensure the plan is aligned with its mission to “reflect the needs and aspirations of the diverse communities in Multnomah County”.

The Climate Justice Plan (CJP) is a hybrid community-driven climate plan that has built on years of community engagement where frontline communities and those serving them have been centered and prioritized throughout this process. Continued and ongoing community feedback is essential in shaping the CJP. Please take a moment to share your thoughts on the CJP Public Comment Draft.

We are especially keen for our health professional and public health advocates to comment on the following goals:

  • Every community member breathes clean and healthy air (pg. 33)
  • Every community member is resilient to extreme weather events and other climate  threats (pg. 46)
  • Every community member is safe from the risks posed by fossil fuels and energy  infrastructure (pg. 58)
  • Every community member has access to the resources and underlying conditions that promote health and well-being (pg. 62)
