Oregon PSR is concerned with the human health effects of air toxics, particularly the high levels of airborne toxics in Portland neighborhoods. Air toxics have the potential to cause serious harm to human health, including increased cancer, lung and heart disease, neurological and developmental disorders, and other health problems.
We participated in the Cleaner Air Oregon process and were disappointed in the passage of SB1541-B in March 2018, which undercut the 18 month public process with engagement by public health and environmental justice communities.
