2013 Greenfield Peace Writing Scholarship

In 2013, we asked students to respond to the following question:

“Why does the Hanford Nuclear Reservation matter?”

We received more than 50 entries from communities throughout the state. We greatly appreciate all of the students who took the time to share their ideas with us.

These were the winners of the 2013 Greenfield Peace Writing Scholarship:

1st Place: Twyla Malchow-Hay, Grant High School, Portland

2nd Place: Taysie MollyRose Savage, Mapleton High School, Mapleton

3rd Place: Jordan Ostrum, Newport High School,Newport

4th Place: Jocelyn Letzer, Oregon City High School, Oregon City
