2017 Greenfield Peace Writing Scholarship

In 2017, we asked students to respond to the following question:

“How would you solve the public health crisis of gun violence?”

We received more than 150 entries, including essays, poems and narrative works, from communities throughout the state. We greatly appreciate all of the students who took the time to share their ideas with us.

These were the winners of the 2017 Greenfield Peace Writing Scholarship:

1st Place - Jessyka Evans, Tualatin High School, Tualatin

2nd Place - Keagan Rice, The Dalles High School, The Dalles

3rd Place - Kennah Watts, Oregon City High School, Oregon City

Honorable Mention: Brittany Ngia, Lakeridge High School, Lake Oswego
